Well honestly, they’re very good and create some high quality equipment.

In this article, I will do an in-depth review of their most popular massage equipment.

Earthlite has been on the market since 1987 and they take pride in using sustainably sourced wood and a zero-carbon practice that protects the environment.

The hard maple wood that they use for most of their products is sourced from North America and milled in their factory in California.

Their main office is also located in California, where you can visit the company’s warehouse and see their manufacturing process.

They won the ‘American Spa Professional’s Choice’ award for 8 years in a row, from 2010 to 2018.

About their products

Earthlite is well-known for its superior ‘Prolux’ cushion system and the quality of their products.

The cushion they use is called Natursoft, it’s a water and oil resistant eco-fabric that feels like leather and is easy to clean.

They truly stand behind their products and prove it with a lifetime warranty on their frames.

Portable Massage Tables

Portable massage tables are a great option for massage professionals that travel a lot or for people who want a massage bed at home that’s easy to fold and won’t take up space.

Some tables are extremely stable yet too heavy to carry, while others are lightweight and easy to carry but not as stable.

So the main challenge when purchasing a portable massage table is finding the perfect middle ground between its weight and stability.

Earthlite SPIRIT Premium Portable Massage Table

If you’re looking for a safe portable massage table that won’t squeak we highly recommend Earthlite’s SPIRIT model.

The frame is made from hard maple pieces that are connected with aircraft-grade steel and will hold an incredible 3200 lbs of static weight and 800 lbs of working weight.

Each massage table is hand upholstered to ensure the durability of the material. The upholstery is soft, water-resistant, and includes 3 layers of  3’’ wide high-density foam underneath.

The table also includes Shiatsu & Reiki options, which means you’ll get 3 different uses out of one massage table.

Warranty

The warranty that Earthlite provides is pretty solid- you get a lifetime limited warranty on their frame and 3 years for the foam and upholstery.

The limited warranty means you have to be the first owner, and the 3 years for the foam are excellent because most models begin showing issues after 1 year of use.

Downsides

We weren’t very impressed with the face cradle functionality, as the Velcro holding it in place is too weak. Customers fix this issue by replacing it with industrial strength Velcro, but it is a hassle.

The zipper on the carrying case doesn’t go all the way down making it a bit difficult to load the table inside. If the manufacturer added just a few extra inches of the zipper, the case would be perfect.

All in all, it is a solid table that won’t need replacing for at least a decade or two.

Earthlite HARMONY DX Portable Massage Table

Earthlite’s HARMONY model is somewhat similar to the SPIRIT model but with less weight capacity, a thinner cushion, and a lower price tag.

It has a working weight capacity of 600 lbs which is decent for most people and you can expect a solid and stable product that won’t squeak.

This model was also hand upholstered and comes with 2.5’’ of foam and an adjustable headrest that’s filled with a poly-gel blend.

The headrest attachment could be improved, but in terms of comfort, it performs pretty well.

Features

The height of this model is adjustable and goes from 22’’ to 33’’ off the ground. You change the height by unscrewing the knobs on the legs.

What we really liked is the ease of set-up, all you have to do is release the buckles, spread it open, and lower the legs. The cables that control the legs work perfectly.

We also liked the transport bag included in this package which has an additional pocket for carrying extra items.

What We Like

Earthlite LUNA Portable Massage Table

The frame on this LUNA model was manufactured with aircraft aluminum, this makes it both strong and lightweight.

Its working weight capacity is 750 lbs, which comes close to the SPIRIT model in terms of strength. But the LUNA weighs 14 lbs less which will be great for professionals that handle callouts.

This seems to be the manufacturer’s idea as well since they made a durable ‘bulletproof’ transport case with an extra pocket for towels or other items.

Adjustability

Both the height of the table and the headrest are adjustable. The table has a minimum height of 24’’ and can be lifted to 34’’ which is 2’’ higher than the HARMONY model.

Raising the table up and down is also easier than the wooden models. The upholstery is made of vinyl that is soft to the touch and easy to clean with a towel, water, and soap.

The only downside to this table is the Velcro under the headrest that needs to be stronger.

Stationary Massage Tables

Stationary massage tables are heavy and sturdy. They’re usually placed inside a spa, salon, or home and rarely ever moved once assembled.

There are 2 types of stationary tables, regular and electric.

The electric ones are so much easier to handle, all you’ll have to do is press a foot pedal or a control button to adjust the height. They also come with a higher price range though.

Both manual and electric massage tables are usually made with superior aircraft grade materials and can withstand much more weight than the portable ones.

On the other hand, the portable massage table is the way to go if you’re doing house calls or working with athletes on the spot.

Earthlite ELLORA Electric Massage Table

The ELLORA model is an electric massage table that looks and feels luxurious. The frame is made from solid steel and has been powder-coated.

The table can hold up to 600 lbs of working weight and its height is operated by powerful motors that can be controlled with a foot pedal.

This particular model offers the largest height range which starts from as low as 17’’ of the ground and goes up to 36’’.

Premium 3-layer cushion

It has a premium 3-layer cushion that provides firm support at its base, medium density foam in the middle, and a luxury wrap on top.

The backrest can be tilted manually so your client can lean comfortably while getting a foot massage.

One thing we didn’t like about this table is the sound the manual tilt makes when it clicks in place as it tends to be a little loud.

The ELLORA massage table comes with a lifetime warranty for the frame and 2 years for the controls and motors.

Earthlite EVEREST Electric Massage Table

If you need an electric massage table that will provide easy access to the client from any side, check out Earthlite’s EVEREST model.

The frame on this model comes with a single pedestal base that is laser cut and equipped with a heavy-duty motor.

Just like their other models this one was hand upholstered as well and comes with a 3’’ triple-density cushion.

Convenient foot control

The manufacturer also included a foot control option which will be super convenient when changing the height. The up and down movements are smooth and do not make a sound.

There’s no assembly required, it is delivered in one piece and it’s ready to go instantly.

With regards to additional accessories such as a face cradle or armrests,  you will have to purchase them separately.

To make sure you have enough room even for larger patients we recommend getting the 32’’ width.

Earthlite SEDONA Stationary Massage Table

The SEDONA model is the strongest massage table Earthlite has made. While its working weight capacity is an unbelievable 1000 lbs the actual distributed weight capacity goes up to 4000 lbs.

This is not an electric model, so the height adjustment has to be done manually with double knobs that secure it in place.

The height range on this one is a bit lower than other models and goes from 24’’ to 33’’ off the floor. This is 4’’ lower than the ELLORA model for example.

Assembly

There’s some assembly involved once you receive the package.

You will have to bolt the top section and the leg section together which should take around 10 minutes of your time. The table is rock solid, well crafted, and reliable.

We really liked the adjustability of the chair as the face cradle height and angle, armrest height, and seat height can all be adjusted with ease.

The AVILA II portable massage chair is a step up from the VORTEX model. The frame was made from a patented composite carbon that is both strong and lightweight.

The chair weighs 22 lbs but you won’t have to carry it around because Earthlite has included a portable bag on wheels in the package.

The maximum working weight capacity is 350 lbs, which is 50 lbs more than the VORTEX. This weight capacity should put you at ease while working with larger customers.

Adjustability

This model will accommodate people from 4.6’’ to 6.6’’ tall and is even more adjustable than the VORTEX.

You get the standard face cradle adjustment and an armrest adjustment, but the thing that sets this chair apart is the adjustable chest pad that slides and tilts to give your client more comfort.

This product really impressed us, especially because it is so cozy and keeps you warm.

The thickness of the fleece pad is 1’’ which is half an inch more than most other products on the market.

It comes with a digital temperature controller that has a 13ft power cord and an auto overheat protection. The cord can be detached from the fleece pad for washing.

The heating pad will fit most standard massage tables as it is 73’’ long and 30’’ wide. You’ll be able to secure it in place with elastic corner straps.

How it works

The important thing to know about this heating pad is that you need to be lying down on it to feel the actual warmth.
