If you’re looking for something more stylish, bigger, and possibly cabinet space, an executive desk is the right choice.
These desks also tend to be of higher quality. Most executive desks are made from solid wood or wood veneer.
Below you’ll find my favorite list of executive desks for whatever your needs are.
Best Modern Executive Desk
White Finish Ford Executive Modern Desk
- Made from solid oak
- Sprayed porcelain finish
- Lots of drawers
- Removable keyboard tray
If you’re looking for a state of the art executive desk, we suggest looking into this Ford model. The finish on this desk is sprayed porcelain, and will surely draw people’s attention.
The overall footprint of the Ford desk is 79’’ long and 71’’ deep, which should be enough for most office environments.
The desk features file drawers, 4 drawer slides, a cable management system, a place for a printer and computer tower, plus a keyboard tray. The spot for the tower is 10’’ wide and 23’’ tall.
Assembly
The Ford desk arrives packaged tightly and needs to be assembled. Thankfully, the assembly process isn’t difficult at all.
The only thing to keep in mind is the weight of the top piece, which is so heavy that you’ll need someone to assist you.
It’s also important to note that you can’t clean this desk with regular household products because you’ll end up with smears. A spray cleaner is what you’ll need to maintain this desk.
What We Like
- Well-built executive desk
- Great finish that leaves an impression
- Sturdy & durable
What We Don’t Like
- Very heavy
Best L Shaped Executive Desk
Zuri Furniture Kennedy Corner Executive Desk
- Made with walnut veneer
- Silver-painted finish
- Writing pad made of faux leather
- Cable management ports
If you’re a down-to-earth type of person that wants a simple, yet exquisite desk, the Kennedy model is a great option to consider.
It’s made with a dark walnut veneer, which is superior to particleboard but not as durable as solid wood. The front and the sides of the wood are accented with a silver finish.
This desk is created to fit many items, it has a few drawers for regular storage and one for filing documents. However, some say the filing drawer needs to be a bit taller in order to fit the labels.
What we really like about the Kennedy executive desk is the smart cable management system that won’t let your cables get tangled.
You also get a CPU tower storage that is 10.8’’ wide and 19.45’’ tall. The footprint of the entire desk is 83’’ long and 71’’ deep, which makes it a pretty large item.
Assembly
Assembling this desk is easy, but due to its size, you’ll definitely need a second person to assist. Just like the previous model, you can choose between a left and right return on this one.
People that got this desk say it is durable and fits their needs perfectly.
What We Like
- Good-looking design
- Durable desk
- Easy to assemble
What We Don’t Like
- Filing drawers could be taller
Best Wooden Executive Desk
Martin Furniture Weathered Dove Desk & Return
- Made with solid lumber & veneer
- Printer pull out shelf
- Easy assembly process
At first glance, this desk looks unusual. It seems like there are 2 keyboard trays on it but the one to the left is actually designed to be a printer pull out shelf, which is why it’s bigger.
The printer pull out shelf is 16’’ wide x 15’’ tall x 16’’ deep. Most people use it to store their printer but say that they have to pull it out when they actually print.
There’s also a single file drawer that gives you just enough space to store important files.
Design
The unit has a weathered dove finish, which is a mixture of gray, green, and blue. This will look good coupled with furniture in the tan to gray color spectrum.
The front lip of the desk is 3.5’’, so you could also clamp a dual monitor if needed. The sides are only 2.25’’, and wouldn’t be suitable for clamps.
The Martin desk doesn’t have a cable management system and it only features a single desk return option, which is to the right.
This desk ships in 2 separate boxes for easier transport. Assembly is also easy since the only thing you’ll need to do is attach the legs.
What We Like
- Weathered antique look
- Made with solid wood
- Very easy assembly
What We Don’t Like
- No cable management
- No option for a left return

The Holland L-shaped desk is designed to be simple and practical. It’s made with wood grain laminate and reinforced with PVC edges on all sides.
So if you want a desk that looks professional and will be durable, but won’t break the bank, this is it. The desk is 71’’ long x 36’’ deep, and the reversible return is 48’’ long x 24’’ deep.
You can choose the side for the return desk upon assembly as it will work perfectly on both sides.
The finish of the desk is cherry, which would look good in most offices, but we’d love to see more color options in the future.
What customers are saying
People that got this desk absolutely love it. They say it is a sturdy desk that looks nice and provides great value. It’s also easy to assemble but you’ll need an extra person to assist.

The top surface of the desk is 23’’ deep and features a 4-port USB hub to charge your devices.
Prepare to spend at least 4 hours assembling the desk and an additional 2 for the hutch. Also not that a cordless screwdriver will help a lot since there are a ton of screws in the package.
What We Like
- Budget friendly price
- USB hub on the desktop
- Hutch can be installed on either side
What We Don’t Like
- Glass drawer lacks shelves
Best Large Executive Desk
Bestar Large Modern Executive Computer Desk
- Made with particleboard
- Melamine finish
- File drawer with lock
- Brushed nickel handles
The Bestar U-shaped desk with a reversible hutch is a solid piece of furniture that should solve most of your office storage needs.
This item was made in Quebec, Canada, using high-density particleboard and a melamine finish. The melamine adds a layer of durability to the desk, making it scratch and water resistant.
The hutch can be placed on either side of the U-shape, or you could place it in the middle. You also get glue strips to secure the hutch to the desk.
However, some people found the strips useless and decided to mount the hutch to the wall.
Assembly
The unit ships to your door in 3 huge boxes. To assemble the Bestar desk you’ll need at least 2 people (3 would be great) and around 5 hours total.
People that bought this desk say it is worth every penny and they’d definitely recommend it to others. The only downside to the Bestar is the instructions for assembly that need an upgrade.
What We Like

Tribesigns L-Shaped Executive Office Desk
If you’re looking for a beautiful L-shaped desk for your office, consider this model from Tribesigns.
What you get is a large desk with plenty of room for your legs and a file cabinet that can be placed on either side of the desk. Both the cabinet and the desk are made with particleboard.
The cabinet features 2 drawers, 2 open-shelf compartments, and a tower stand but what we really liked is the wheels underneath it that make it easy to transport if needed.
Two of the wheels can also be locked in place for safety. People that got this model say it’s an attractive little desk that provides great value for the price.
Sauder Shoal Creek Executive Desk
The Sauder Shoal Creek desk is made from engineered wood and laminates, which gives it a smooth surface.
It’s a nice compact desk that has 2 large drawers, 2 small drawers, and a pull out keyboard tray. The desk is finished with an ash oak color, which is something between brown and gray.
The top surface is 65’’ long & 29’’ deep, which should be plenty for standard office needs. Some people considered mounting a monitor clamp on it, but the manufacturer doesn’t recommend it.
Assembling the desk is medium-hard, but the straightforward instructions make the process a whole lot easier. The manufacturer offers a 5 year limited warranty on the desk as well.

The Quincy wood desk is made with a dark walnut wood veneer and a contemporary design that will look impressive in any office.
On the main desk, you’ll find a faux leather writing pad, a pencil drawer, and cable management ports. The main desk has wheels on one side for easy transport.
The return holds the keyboard tray and the CPU tower. The mobile pedestal features two drawers that can be locked. A small one for files, and a larger one for various items.
The pedestal comes with wheels and just like the return, it can be placed on either side of the desk.
Sauder Edge Water Executive Computer Desk
We had to include this executive desk from Sauder because people seem to love it so much.
What you get is a standard office desk with a CPU storage compartment on the left and 2 drawers to the right. The tower drawer is 24’’ tall x 19.5’’ deep x 10.75’’ wide.
What we really like is the adjustable shelf inside the CPU drawer that will allow you to organize your stuff better.
The drawers are not as deep as they look, in fact, they are 12.75’’ deep, so if you need more space for documents, this might not be enough.
Both the keyboard tray and the drawers function properly and won’t cause you any trouble.
Assembly
The assembly of this desk is medium-hard, but the instructions are clear. The biggest issue people have had were the hinges on the door of the CPU storage compartment that need a lot of force.
People that got this desk love how sturdy it is. The biggest complaint we heard was about the back of the desk, which is not finished and was designed to be facing a wall.
