Searching for ergonomic mesh chairs, probably you’ve heard of manufactures like Herman Miller, Steelcase, or maybe even Workpro.

But a less known ergonomic chair manufacturer out there is a South Korean company called SIDIZ.

So with so many worthy ergonomic office chairs available, is the SIDIZ brand actually worth considering for your office?

In my opinion, absolutely- they probably have some of the most underrated chairs that could be priced a lot higher.

In this review, I’ll talk about their chairs and explain why they’re so underrated.

About The Company

Although they operate solely in South Korea, SIDIZ ships their chairs globally to over 60 countries around the world and produce a whopping 1.5 million chairs annually.

They have won a total of 24 awards since 2009 and their pool of famous customers includes Manchester United, IBM, General Electrics, and the Esports gaming team from South Korea.

SIDIZ is currently the leading brand in their country but the news about their amazing work has spread all over the world.

SIDIZ T80 Chair

SIDIZ T80 Highly Adjustable Ergonomic Office Chair

If you’re looking for a beautifully designed office chair that will rival any high end ergonomic chair, consider the SIDIZ T80 model.

The chair was created in 2014 but blew up globally in 2019 when a famous streamer called Dr. Disrespect started using it and made a video saying ‘It transcends him beyond perfection.’

The T80 is also the primary choice of the Korean gaming team called Esports. It has been compared with the Herman Miller Aeron chair, but it costs hundreds of dollars less.

Comfort

One of the most distinguished features of the SIDIZ T80 is the incredible support it provides for your back.

The distance between the backrest and your back is only 3.2 mm and it follows the curve of your spine making it ideal for gamers and people who work long hours at their desktop.

The seat is filled with memory foam and has an elastic sponge that will hug the curves of your buttocks and enable you to feel comfortable even after long hours.

Adjustability

The chair features multiple adjustability options, most of which are usually found in higher priced models. The headrest can be tilted to an angle of 33 degrees and can be moved up or down.

The mesh backrest offers great lumbar support and can be tilted. The armrests can be moved in three different ways, they can go up and down, tilt or slope outwards.

Additionally, the seat height can be adjusted from 15.5’’ to 19.5’’ off the ground and can slide forward as well. It is also extremely wide and deep, perfect for people with larger frames.

Assembly

The assembly of the chair is pretty easy and should take you around 10 minutes to complete. After assembly, you will be able to adjust your T80 to fit your specific needs.

All in all, the SIDIZ T80 is a well-designed durable chair that won’t leave you feeling like you’ve made any kind of a compromise.

The only improvement most people would like to see is better wheels. Many people who get this chair also purchase rollerblade casters. It’s not a requirement but it does improve its rolling.

SIDIZ T50 Chair

The Sidiz T50 chair is the predecessor of the T80 model.

They are similar in many ways and yet different in others. We researched the similarities and differences and here’s what we found:

The main difference between the T80 and T50 models is the way they tilt.

While the tilt on the T80 locks, the T50 has a multi-limited tilt that enables you to set the maximum tilting distance but doesn’t allow you to lock it in place.

The technology behind the T80 has been improved as a result of the collaboration between SIDIZ and their French and German designers.

The T50 is definitely a bit sturdier since its maximum weight capacity is set to 300 lbs compared to the 250 lbs of the T80 model.

Comfort

The seat on this one can also slide and slope but it is a tad narrower with a 19.3’’ width compared to the 19.9’’ width on the T80 model. Additionally, its cushion is a bit more on the firm side.

All the other adjustments are pretty much the same including the seat height and arms.

One thing this chair has that the T80 model doesn’t is the lumbar support adjustment. On this model you can set it higher or lower, and push it in or pull it out.

On the other hand, this model doesn’t come with a headrest, you’ll have to purchase that separately.

Assembly is easy on this one as well. All you’ll need to do is install 6 bolts (2 for the armrest and 4 to connect the backrest to the seat) and that’s it.

An additional headrest is a great option for people that have neck problems and need to relax their heads while working.

The SIDIZ T50 adjustable headrest was built to be used both on the T50 and T50 air models. It is adjustable for height and angle and feels comfortable to lean into.

The upholstery was made from artificial leather and includes some cushioning.

Since the T50 model doesn’t have a lockable tilt, the headrest follows the movements of your body while you work. Assembly is pretty easy and should take around 10 minutes max.

SIDIZ Ringo Chair

The Sidiz Ringo series was made for growing children and their ergonomic needs but several petite adults are using them as well.

The chair comes in 6 bright colors and includes the same ergonomic features as the models made for grown-ups.

There are 2 types of Ringo chairs to choose from, PU leather or fabric upholstery. Both types come with a footrest which is amazing and in our opinion should be included in the ‘grown-up’ models.

SIDIZ Ringo Kid Desk Chair

If you want to give your child the best ergonomic chair on the market, we recommend the Ringo chair from SIDIZ.

The manufacturer has set the age requirement at 6-13 years old, but the added footrest makes it easy for smaller children to use as well.

The build quality of this chair is incredible and the adjustability features are game-changing. It has a minimum weight requirement of 55 lbs which stops the casters when the child sits in it.

Adjustability

The chair is height adjustable and goes from 15.7’’ to 19.7’’ off the ground with the help of a lever. The higher the chair goes the wider the seat gets to follow the growth of your child.

The seat places the child in an upright position which helps them get used to a proper posture from a young age.

It’s a swivel type of chair that will also be ideal for children that are hyperactive and fidgety.

Just like other SIDIZ chairs, the assembly is pretty easy and straightforward. The only reason someone would be prevented from getting this amazing chair would be the relatively high price.

Marvel Series

If you’re a Marvel fan you’ll be delighted to know that in 2019 SIDIZ teamed up with the Marvel super-hero franchise to bring you the ‘Ultimate Collection’ both for children and adults.

In the grown-up section, you can choose between 4 different themes. They’ve got Spider-man, Iron-man, Black Panther, and Captain America.

The model they used for this venture is the SIDIZ T50 chair. They definitely didn’t cut any corners on this and the chairs look fantastic.

The kids’ section has the same super-heroes, plus a clean Marvel logo. The models to choose from are the T25, the Ringo chair, and the Fungus chair.

SIDIZ Alternatives

WorkPro(R) Quantum 9000 Series

The WorkPro Quantum 9000 was built for office workers that need additional support and adjustability. The chair also looks amazing and will fit perfectly in any type of office.

The upholstery is made of mesh which is excellent for ventilation and the seat height can be adjusted from 17’’ to 20’’ off the ground. You’ll also be able to slide it back and forth.

The backrest tilts, which enables you to rock it at a 90 -130 degrees angle, or lock it in a resting position. There’s also a knob to the right of the chair that controls the tilting tension.

The arms of the chair can be raised, lowered, or swiveled but the swivel option can get annoying at times because it can’t be locked in place. All in all, the Quantum 9000 is a good quality chair.

The Steelcase Leap chair offers quite a unique experience because when you move, it moves with you. This is a renewed (refurbished) model sold by Amazon.

It has a backrest that follows your movements, arms that move in any direction, and adjustable lumbar support that moves up and down plus can be adjusted for firmness.

The seat height is also adjustable and although it’s around 18.5’’ deep, you’ll be able to adjust it by moving the seat forward or back. This chair will work great for desktops up to 28’’ tall.

Be careful with the assembly though as the seat has an arrow that must align with the cylinder arrow. If you miss this part it is really difficult to dismantle the chair.

This is another refurbished chair that arrives in amazing condition. We think it’s a great deal as you get to knock a few hundred dollars off the regular price of the popular Aeron size B model.

For most people, the price of this chair was the main barrier to get one, so this option was quickly welcomed by many.

Features

Unlike other mesh supports that tend to be either too soft or too stiff, the Aeron features a woven pellicle that is just right, it conforms to your body and keeps you cool.

The base of the chair is 3 times heavier than similar models on the market which makes it incredibly strong and supportive. Its weight capacity is set to 230 lbs.

It can accommodate people between 5’5’’ and 6’2’’ tall and the lumbar support can be adjusted, as well as the seat height and angle. All in all, you get 9 types of adjustability features in one chair.

The Aeron size B Herman Miller is well-known for its amazing quality but also its steep prices. This option seems like an amazing deal for most people.

Duramont Ergonomic Adjustable Office Chair

If you’re looking for adjustability, the Duramont Ergonomic office chair is a fantastic option to consider, every part of the chair is adjustable, including the headrest.

The backrest is made of mesh and allows air to circulate while you’re working, it can also be tilted to a resting position of 120 degrees and the seat can be adjusted from 16.9’’ to 20.8’’ of the floor.

The arms go up and down, and you can adjust their width during assembly. Another thing that can only be adjusted during assembly is the distance between the seat and the backrest.

This might pose a problem if you’re buying in bulk and have to adjust every single chair, but for personal purposes, it is a great feature only found in higher-end chairs.

The Duramont offers adjustable lumbar support that can be raised or lowered and the seat features adjustable depth. The chair will hold up to 330 lbs of weight.

NOUHAUS Ergo3D Ergonomic Office Chair

The NOUHAUS Ergo3D was initially meant to be a gaming chair but office workers seem to love it. The design of the chair is very unique and has caught the attention of many.

The lumbar support doesn’t adjust in the traditional way but it does move with you by responding to the pressure you place on it. It also protrudes a bit to give you that much-needed support.

The 3D part of the name refers to the arms that move in 3 directions; up and down, back and forth, and swivel.

The frame was made of iron alloy meaning this chair was built to last and you get 2 sets of wheels with your purchase, the standard dual castor wheels, and a set of rollerblade wheels.

Should You Buy It?

We have to admit we’ve become fans of these SIDIZ chairs, especially their Marvel series that was launched in 2019.

The company strives to be the best on the market and we know that it is us, the users, who will reap the benefits in the end.

Are SIDIZ chairs as amazing as the Herman Miller chairs? Probably not, but they are definitely the next best thing, with much more competitive prices.
